Beneath us pulses a sonic force that energises and shapes our lives.
The Ground Beneath Us brings together a diverse collective of artists to harness this force and explore new possibilities in sound.
Through improvised music, meditation and community discussion the festival provides a platform to share new music and fresh ideas around music and wellbeing.

This community event will bring together artists, academics & creatives to share through sound & discussion ancient & contemporary perspectives on the role & purpose of music in our society, particularly in relation to mental health & wellbeing.

An immersive concert experience combining live music, dance, digital art & poetry. This sensorial provocation explores our disconnection from nature & one another & maps a path from fear to bliss & fearlessness.

A ritual musical experience of guided meditations, sound healing & group chanting, led by Indian fusion singer, yoga & meditation teacher Menaka & supported by First Nations artist & didgeridoo player Glenn Barry, percussionist Tsoof Barras & keyboard player Meg Burstow.

A rare concert featuring master improvisers from diverse cultures & traditions exploring improvised sound-making through traditional & contemporary forms. The program will morph between solos, duos & larger groups culminating in a transcendental cascade of sound.
