Tree of Life: Seniors Music and Movement Program
The Tree of Life is a community wellbeing initiative designed to support the creative, emotional and social wellbeing of a diverse cross-section of our seniors community. The workshop program combine exercises in meditation, music-making and movement facilitated by a collective of highly skilled and experienced teaching artists.
The program is led by creator Dr Anthony Garcia, the co-founder and artistic director of Sounds Across Oceans. Anthony is an accomplished guitarist, composer, educator and producer dedicated to building bridges between cultures and communities through innovative arts programming.
The program is delivered with a fun, yet caring & supportive ethos:
- Dancers – no prior knowledge required
- Musicians – rudimentary or intermediate knowledge of how to play an instrument is encouraged.

We are thrilled to be delivering a four-week Tree of Life workshop program for Brisbane City Council.
The program combines exercises in meditation, music-making and movement facilitated by a collective of highly skilled and experienced teaching artists.
The workshops are designed for participants to meet for two hours a week across four consecutive weeks and it is recommended that you come to all sessions.
The workshops will be Tuesday 19 & 26 April and 3 & 10 May 2022, 10am-12pm.
