Sounds Across Oceans acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which our events stand on, the Turrbal and Jagera peoples of Meanjin, and recognise their continuing connection to the land and waterways.

Adding to the magic is Luciola singapura, a mesmerizing new work by award-winning Singaporean composer Koh Cheng Jin. Inspired by the discovery of a new species of firefly in Singapore’s mysterious Nee Soon Forest, the piece brings the firefly’s golden glow to life through the ethereal sounds of the Yang Qin (Chinese dulcimer).
